As a Business Development Associate for Abyom you will play a crucial role in driving growth and establishing strategic partnerships. Our purpose is to make space technology more accessible, sustainable and valuable to people, peace and the planet Your primary responsibility will be to identify and pursue business opportunities, foster relationships with potential clients, and support the overall sales and business development initiatives. You will work closely with the founders as well as other departments within the organisation, to achieve revenue targets and contribute to the company’s success in the space technology industry.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1.Identify and Pursue Business Opportunities:
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients, partners, and new market segments for the company’s space technology products or services.
- Analyse industry trends, competitive landscapes, and customer needs to develop strategies for business growth.
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, including partnerships, collaborations, and strategic alliances.
2.Relationship Building and Sales Support:
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including potential clients, partners, government agencies, and industry influencers.
- Conduct introductory meetings, presentations, and negotiations with potential clients to understand their requirements and present the company’s value proposition.
- Support the sales team by providing market insights, competitive analysis, and sales collateral to facilitate the sales process.
3.Proposal Development and Contract Negotiation:
- Prepare compelling proposals, pitch decks, and business cases for potential clients, highlighting the benefits and advantages of the company’s space technology solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as engineering, legal, and finance, to develop customised proposals that align with client requirements.
- Assist in contract negotiations, ensuring favourable terms and conditions for the company while maintaining strong client relationships.
4.Market Expansion and Brand Awareness:
- Assist in the development and execution of marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and promote the company’s space technology products or services.
- Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to expand the company’s presence and identify potential business opportunities.
- Monitor industry developments and technological advancements to provide insights on emerging trends and opportunities for innovation.
5.Sales Reporting and Analysis:
- Track sales activities, business development efforts, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure progress towards targets and identify areas for improvement.
- Generate regular reports and presentations to update management on the status of business development initiatives, sales pipeline, and revenue forecasts
